Nacogdoches Police Report - 11/06/06

THEFT:  1200 block of east Main. Unknown suspects removed hubcaps from a parked vehicle.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  2900 block of Press Road. Unknown suspect struck and damaged 10 mailboxes in area.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  400 block of Oakhill Plaza. Unknown suspect broke out a window of an apartment.

THEFT:  1122 N. University Drive (Foot Locker). Two suspects entered the store and filled out job applications. Upon leaving, the suspects removed a pair of shoes without paying for them. Warrants have been requested.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION:  1000 block of C. L. Simon. Over the past month, several items have been removed from the residence. Taken was a .410 shotgun, two leather coats, a potted plant, and misc. clothing items.

DWI / DWLI:  1100 block of Orton Street. Vehicle stopped for speeding. Driver found to be intoxicated and to have a suspended license. Michael R. Topps was arrested.

MAKING ALCOHOL AVAILABLE TO A MINOR:  1500 block of North Street. Vehicle contacted for loud noise. Two minors were found to be in possession of alcohol. Fabian Ruiz was arrested.

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY (SUPPLEMENT):  The suspect in the aggravated robbery at the University Chevron last week turned himself into officers Friday night. Kenny Allen was arrested at the police station.

DWLI:  Mound at Hospital. Suspect was contacted on traffic stop and found to have a suspended driver's license. Katherine Powers was arrested.

DWLI:  2600 block of North Street. Vehicle stopped on traffic. Driver found to have a suspended license. Stanley Westmoreland was arrested.

TAMPERING WITH A GOVERNMENT RECORD:  100 block of North Street. Suspect issued a traffic citation and signed it with a false name. Francisco Vasquez arrested.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:  800 block of Lucas Street. During a disturbance, a female cut a male suspect on the back of the neck with a knife, causing minor injury. Suspect gone on arrival of officers.

THEFT:  1122 North University Drive (Belk Department Store). A known suspect was observed taking property from the store without paying. Suspect gone on arrival. Warrant requested.

HIT AND RUN:  1900 block of Pearl. Officers responded to an accident at 1900 Pearl Street. A vehicle had left the scene. Officers located the suspect vehicle and he was arrested. Orlando Herrea was arrested.

DWLI:  1900 block of North Street. Suspect was stopped for traffic violation and found to have a suspended license. Bruce Fowler was arrested.

DWLI:  300 block of Powers Street. Suspect was stopped for traffic and found to have a suspended driver's license. Matthew Serpas was arrested.

DWLI:  800 block of South Fredonia. Suspect stopped on traffic and found to have a suspended driver's licensel. Ashley Pettigrew was arrested.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS:  200 block of Sweetgum. David Hinton was arrested after returning to a residence where he had been warned not to trespass.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  1200 block of Powers. Unknown persons stole a battery and other vehicle parts from this location.

HIT AND RUN:  1000 block of Douglass Highway. Unknown vehicle struck a parked car and failed to give information.

FAILURE TO STOP AND RENDER AID:  1900 Pearl. Driver left the scene of an accident. Was located in the apartments near scene and identified. Warrant requested.

FAILURE TO STOP AND RENDER AID:  2000 block of South Street. Two vehicles were involved in an accident. One of the drivers fled the scene on foot down Ferndale Street.

DWI / FAILURE TO STOP AND RENDER AID:  400 block of Se Stallings. Suspect vehicle struck another vehicle from behind, losing a license plate, and left the scene. Suspect later called in a wreck at another location. Michael Anzaldua was arrested.

RESISTING ARREST AND SEARCH:  3500 block of Center Highway. Officers responded to a suspicious person behind the store. When officers arrived, suspect attempted to crank a vehicle and leave. Keys were removed from vehicle. Suspect refused to comply with officers commands. Taser was deployed to gain compliance. Once handcuffed, a box cutter was located in the suspect's pocket. Miguel Johnson was arrested.
