Lufkin Police Report - 11/10/06

AGGRAVATED ROBBERY:  2001 S. First St.  Two men robbed the Chevron convenience store at 3:33 a.m.  Two black men dressed in black clothing and wearing masks entered the store and one of the suspects pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded the money from the register.  The clerk gave the money to that suspect while the second suspect came behind the counter and placed dozens of cartons of cigarettes in a garbage bag.  The two suspects fled on foot and were not located.  The clerk was not injured.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  700 block of  Hoskins St.  An SUV was broken into and the stereo was stolen sometime Thursday evening.

THEFT / B:  1004 S. John Redditt  Dr.  A pregnant woman stole two cartons of cigarettes and a soft drink Thursday evening.  The woman asked for two cartons of cigarettes and then rushed out without paying for them.

FORGERY / COUNTERFEITING:  1600 block of Keltys St.  A woman reported the was paid with three counterfeit $20 bills for braiding another woman's hair Thursday afternoon.  The victim didn't know the suspect who said she was from out of town.

HINDERING SECURED CREDIT:  1000 block of Norwood.  A rental company reported that a woman rented a refrigerator and hasn't paid the notes on it.  They learned the woman has since sold the refrigerator.

THEFT:  1800 block of Cypress St.  A woman reported a box of sterling silver flatware was stolen from her home sometime during the week.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  1400 block of E. Lufkin Ave.  A vehicle was broken into overnight Wednesday and the stereo was stolen.
