Dee Ann Turner admired a purse covered with family photographs. It got the woman who loves crafts to thinking, 'I could do that.'
"I love pictures and I love to show off my family, so I thought, well, what better way than to do this." Before she knew it, Dee Ann had her own business.
She calls it DAT Picture Purses. Turner said, "People call me and tell me, 'You won't believe how many times I've been stopped by people wanting to know where did you get that purse?'"
Turner does much more than purses. Turner walked into her bathroom, "This here is just a shower curtain I've done. I did a toilet seat to match." Around Christmas and Mother's Day, Dee Ann can be found at her sewing machine in the wee hours of the morning, completing orders. Photos are going on check book covers, ties, pillows, lamps, and even caskets. You name it, Dee Ann has put a picture on it.
