The Search Begins for a Central Superintendent

The search is on for a new superintendent for the Central school district. Vernis Rogers will retire this year.

A team of consultants has been brought in to get input from administrators, teachers, and students.  The superintendent search could take a while to find the right candidate.

Mayo Neyland, a consultant, said, "They need somebody with experience. The general trend is that this not a job for somebody just learning to be a superintendent.  This is a job for somebody that has been there before.  They want to find somebody that is experienced with bond issues."

You can give your input about the search process Tuesday night.  A town hall meeting will be held starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Central I.S.D. administration building.
