Teenage Murder Suspect May Be Certified as an Adult

Authorities want a Lufkin boy charged with murder to be tried as an adult. His adult certification hearing was reset for sometime next month.

The 16-year-old boy and an older teen are accused of shooting and killing Tony Hutson in Lufkin back in September.

Investigators said the 39-year-old man and his brother were walking down Ellis Street and started fighting with the two teenagers. The teens got into a car and fired a shot at them. That bullet hit Hutson in the torso.

Police arrested the juvenile and 17-year-old Kendall Adams and charged them with murder.
