Chief Caddo has changed his address. S.F.A. took back the largest trophy in sports Thursday night, closing out the season 20-to-11 winners over Northwestern State. The Lumberjacks dominated the opening 30 minutes and held off the Demons.
S.F.A. led 20-to-0 at the half, thanks to a Danny Southall touchdown pass and run. Lufkin's Carlus Anders delivered a knockout blow to Demons quarterback Germayne Edmond. A crushing Anders hit in the second quarter knocked the freshman out of the game.
S.F.A. ends the season 4-and-2 in the Southland Conference, with a 4-and-7 record overall. A McNeese and Sam Houston loss on Saturday would give the 'Jacks a share of the conference title.
