Playstation Three Shooting

Police in Connecticut are investigating the shooting of a man who was waiting in line to buy a Playstation Three video game system.

According to police in Putnam, Connecticut, two armed men were trying to rob people waiting in line at a Wal-Mart there early Friday morning. About 3 a.m. EST, the man was shot...reportedly because he refused to give up his money.

The gunmen fled the scene. The victim remains in the hospital. No word yet on his condition.

The victim's friends are stunned. "We got a call while we were at work that our buddy got shot. We came down here. He was waiting in line for PS 3 for a couple days. We got a call from Buddies Bros. that he got shot and we are trying to find out what's wrong with him right now," said Michael Smith, a friend of the victim.

The new Playstations went on sale at midnight Friday. They're priced between $500 and $600. Short supplies of the game system have led to lines of buyers outside stores.
