Drug Trafficking Defendants Pleaded Guilty

Three defendants involved in an East Texas drug trafficking operation pleaded guilty to federal drug charges.

Thirty-year-old Jose Reyes Garcia, 28-year-old Raul Gutierrez-Perez, and 28-year-old Javier Lopez have admitted to their roles in the drug investigation known as "Operation Kings Court."

The investigation began back in 2002, and the drug ring spread from the Texas-Mexico border to the East Texas area. Undercover officers bought weapons and drugs from several co-conspirators up until this past summer.

Two suspects face up to ten years in prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, cocaine base and marijuana. Lopez faces up to 20-years in prison. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
