Saturday friends and family gathered to bid farewell to young Alex Aldrege. The 13 year old was killed this week in an accidental shooting.
His death rocked the small town of Apple Springs, but the community is coping with his death by celebrating his life. Though the past days have been painful for the community, they smile through their pain believing this is only goodbye for now.
"In the Bible it tells me if I believe in God's son Jesus Christ I'm assured of everlasting life and I'm sure Alex made that commitment, so I may say goodbye for now but it's not goodbye forever," says Apple Springs Superintendent Gregg Spivey.
