Last Flu Outreach on Friday

The last flu outreach effort is this Friday for the East Texas Community Health Center.   That means you have one last chance to receive your flu shot from there.

The center has enough flu vaccine left to serve about 300 more people. So far this year, the center has protected about 3,000 people from flu.

East Texas Community Health Center Director Robin Moore said, "So far, we did about 1,600 [shots in our] outreach at the Piney Woods Fair, and we've done other outreaches at the senior center. We've gone to various locations, like the Boy's Ranch."

You can get your flu shot on Friday at the University Mall in Nacogdoches from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. . The vaccine is $20, but free for those on Medicare.
