Nacogdoches Police Report - 12/04/06

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  4810 North Street (Wal-Mart). Complainant had his vehicle keyed on the right rear door while parked and unattended in the parking lot.

THEFT:  800 block of Lock Street. Complainant reported that a red and tan American Pit Bulldog was taken from a yard overnight.

THEFT:  1500 block of East Main. Complainant reported a 5.3 ton air conditioning unit removed from the rear of a building.

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE:  3100 block of North University Drive. While investigating a minor accident, officers discovered that a driver had a suspended license. Beau Cheston Reece was arrested.

FOUND PROPERTY:  100 block of North Popp. Complainant found a white BMX bike on their property.

EVADING ARREST:  Old Post Oak Road. Officer observed the suspect's vehicle accelerate while next to another vehicle, possibly attempting to race. Vehicle turned onto Old Post Oak Road and attempted to hide from officers. Suspect located and Shane Babbs was arrested.

HIT AND RUN:  4600 block of North Street. Complainant came to the police department and reported that his vehicle had been struck while parked and unattended the night before.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1400 block of Martinsville. A parked vehicle had two tires slashed on it.

FORGERY:  4810 North Street (Wal-Mart). A suspected counterfeit $20.00 bill was passed and recovered.

DWI:  1400 block of Shawnee Street. Suspect was driving a vehicle that drove into a wooded front yard. Suspect was arrested after being found intoxicated. Baudelio Escalante was arrested.

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE / RESISTING ARREST:  100 block of Burrows Street. Suspect was stopped on traffic. A computer check revealed a suspended driver's license. Officer attempted to arrest the suspect and a struggle ensued. Suspect taken into custody. James Cates was arrested.

DWI:  1900 block of Tanglewood. Suspect involved in a one car accident. He was found to be intoxicated and arrested. Raul Torres is the suspect.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  600 block of South Fredonia Street. Complainant reported the passenger window of his vehicle was broken out while parked at a residence.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  4800 block of North Street. Unknown persons threw a bottle through a vehicle window of a car that was parked at the Sports Shack lot.

THEFT:  2800 block of North Street (Shell Station). Complainant reported that his copper color 24-speed mountain bike was stolen while he was inside the store.

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE:  500 block of Houston Street. Suspect was stopped for traffic violations. His driver's license was found to be suspended. Jacky Ross was arrested.
