Lufkin Police Report - 12/05/06

ASSAULT:  600 block of Moore St.  A man reported that he was assaulted by another man during an argument over possession of a car Monday evening.  The victim received a bloody nose but required no medical treatment.

HARASSMENT:  1500 block of Chestnut.  A woman reported receiving a threatening phone call from a man she knows Monday.

THEFT:  2500 Daniel McCall Dr. (Wal-Mart).  Six iPod's were stolen early Saturday morning from a display at Wal-Mart.  The theft was discovered by employees after the fact.

BURGLARY:  800 block of Frank.  Two cell phones, a wallet, and some cash were stolen from an unsecured car Monday.

FRAUD:  2600 block of College Dr.  A woman reported someone made an unauthorized electronic withdrawal of money from her bank account.  The woman thinks that her account information was accessed by someone who repaired her computer.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE:  300 block of Lofton.  Credit card abuse was reported when a woman attempted to cancel her deceased mother's credit card account and learned the card had been used since her mother's death.

FORGERY / COUNTERFEITING:  103 N. Brentwood Dr. (Radio Shack).  An unknown man and woman passed a stolen, forged check for merchandise at Radio Shack Sunday evening.

THEFT:  4000 block of N. Medford Dr.  A trucking company owner fired a driver and later discovered several tarps missing from the driver's truck.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  203 S. First (Region's Bank).  Red paint was sprayed onto a glass door sometime over the weekend at Region's Bank.

ACCIDENT / HIT AND RUN:  2400 block of Frank.  A parked, unattended SUV was struck by an unknown vehicle sometime Sunday night in the parking lot of an apartment complex.
