Workforce Solutions of Deep East Texas is turning 10 years old. City and county leaders showed up for an anniversary celebration Tuesday in Lufkin. The reception was also an open house to show off a bigger and better facility.
The new building has more classroom space to accommodate larger groups or employers who are hiring a large number of people at one time. There are also more computers in the resource room for folks to come in and job search using the Internet.
Charlene Meadows of Workforce Solutions said, "We're just really proud to have this celebration for all the folks who came, and [we] hope that the community will use the services here to help them find jobs."
The new building has an additional 2,000 square feet of space.
