BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  500 block of Paul Ave. A woman reported that her purse was stolen from her unsecured vehicle sometime overnight Monday.

ASSAULT:
  216 S. Timberland Dr. (Taco Bell).  A restaurant manager reported that an employee shoved him while the manager was trying to get the suspended employee to leave the restaurant.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  411 Ward St.  Graffiti was spray painted on park playground equipment sometime Monday evening.

THEFT:  900 E. DENMAN Ave. (Lufkin Middle School).  A student's cell phone was stolen from a gym locker at the middle school Monday afternoon.

ASSAULT:  1300 block of E. Lufkin Ave.  A woman reported that her husband grabbed her by the throat and choked her during an argument Monday afternoon.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE:  500 block of N. John Redditt Dr.  A woman reported that her credit card was stolen sometime in October and several unauthorized charges have been made on the card since.

FORGERY / COUNTERFEITING:  300 block of S. Chestnut Dr.  A woman reported that several of her checks had been stolen by a house guest and forged at local grocery stores in late November.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  2000 block of N. Timberland Dr.  A woman reported that a man directing traffic around a broken down 18-wheeler hit her car fender Monday and dented the fender.  The woman said she was going to turn near the broken down truck when she drove close to the man before she saw him.  She said the man hit her car with his fist.  The man was identified and said he hit the back of her car with his ball cap, not the front fender with his fist.

ASSAULT:  900 900 E. DENMAN Ave. (Lufkin Middle School).  A sixth grade boy reported that he was assaulted by several older boys at school last Thursday.  The boy had minor injuries.

BURGLARY:  700 block of Circle Dr.  Mechanic tools and assorted clothing were stolen from an unsecured car sometime Sunday night.
