Nacogdoches Police Report - 12/14/06

UPDATED INFORMATION - HOMICIDE (12/13/06):  Sheffield Drive.  Late yesterday afternoon, 12/13/06, sufficient evidence and information was obtained to charge Timothy Eubanks with the offense of murder. An arrest warrant was obtained. The search for Mr. Eubanks intensified.

NPD Detectives, along with Nacogdoches County Constable Pct 4 Chuck Copeland and Deputy Constable David Stone located the suspect and his vehicle utilizing electronic surveillance equipment this morning at about 1:30 a.m. Mr. Eubanks was located in a remote area of southeast Nacogdoches County known as the Little's Chapel community.

He was immediately arrested for the offense of murder. It was determined that Mr. Eubanks had ingested a significant amount of prescription medication. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital and was admitted. He is currently hospitalized under 24-hour police guard.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  3800 block of North Street. A window was shot out with a BB gun.

THEFT:  3200 block of N. University Dr. Two portable DVD players were reported stolen the night before.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  100 block of Walker Ave. A DVD player was stolen from a vehicle that was parked.

ROBBERY:  1215 North St. (Kroger). The suspect presented a note demanding money to the clerk in the office, threatening the clerk with a handgun. No weapon was displayed. The suspect was given an undetermined amount of money and fled in a vehicle. The suspect vehicle was given to officers and, within five minutes, NPD officers had located the suspect vehicle in the parking lot of 2807 Pearl, occupied. A suspect was arrested and the stolen money was recovered. Latoya Hillman was arrested.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE:  1400 block of Martinsville. Officers responded to a noise complaint and smelled the strong odor of burning marijuana coming from inside the residence. Officers located a quantity of a controlled substance inside the residence. Jacquelynne Olmedo was arrested.

DWI / EVADING ARREST:  North Street. Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed down North Street. Officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver refused. The vehicle stopped after being involved in a minor accident. Adrian Serrano was arrested.
