Bush Makes Christmas Eve Calls to Troops

President Bush has been making calls to troops this Christmas Eve.

The White House says Bush called ten members of the military this morning from Camp David to thank them for their service and wish them a happy holiday. The troops he called were stationed overseas or have recently returned from deployments abroad.

A spokeswoman says Bush wanted "to let them know how much he appreciates their service and how proud he is of each of them."

She says he asked them to pass on his thanks to the men and women they serve with, and to give his best to their families.
