Texans Finally Beat Colts

(AP) Kris Brown's 48-yard field goal as time expired lifted the Houston Texans to a 27-to-24 victory over visiting Indianapolis as the Colts' late-season struggles continue. After getting off to a 9-and-0 start, Indianapolis has dropped four of six and stands 11-and-4 headed into the final week of the regular season.

The loss denied the AFC South champions the chance to clinch a first-round playoff bye. Ron Dayne raced through the Colts much-maligned run defense for a career-high 153 yards and two touchdowns to help Houston get its first-ever win against Indianapolis in ten tries and improve to 5-and-10. Colts q.b. Peyton Manning threw two T.D. passes to Marvin Harrison and became the first NFL signal caller to record seven four-thousand passing-yard seasons.
