Toyota Sees 25th Consecutive Month of Production Growth

Toyota says it made 736,000 vehicles worldwide last month. It marks the 25th month in a row that production grew at the automaker, which is gunning to topple General Motors as the world's biggest.

Higher oil prices helped drive demand for fuel-efficient models like the Camry, Corolla, and the Prius hybrid.

Toyota is already looking to produce 9.42 million vehicles next year. GM has yet to give its target figure.
