Lufkin Police Report - 12/28/06

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING:  1206 S. Medford Dr. (Renfro Packing).  Renfro Packing was broken into Wednesday night and 40 pounds of sausage was stolen.

THEFT:  1201 W. Frank. (Memorial Health System).  A hospital patient reported that his wallet was stolen but he found it after making a police report.  No theft occurred.

BURGLARY OF A COIN OPERATED MACHINE:    1305 Abney St. A coin operated soap dispensing machine was broken into Tuesday night at R&R Washateria.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION:  1600 block of Long. A vacant rent house was broken into over the holiday weekend and an oxygen tank, TV, linens and the front door were stolen.  A small piece of the front door was found inside the house but the door is missing.

FORGERY / COUNTERFEITING:  900 block of Frank.  A customer noticed that a $20 bill he gave the cashier looked odd.  The bill was found be counterfeit.

BURGLARY:  1400 block of Tulane Dr.  A woman's purse was stolen from her unsecured car during the few minutes it took her to drop her child off at daycare Wednesday morning.

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING:  3601 Moffett Rd. (Kit McConnico Park).  A concession stand at Kit McConnico Park was burglarized over the long holiday weekend.  Two Igloo water coolers were stolen.
