A Trinity County student indicted on rape charges is now pleading guilty to a different crime. Seventeen-year-old Cord Williams pleaded guilty to burglary of a building.
Williams admitted he broke into the building where a Groveton student said she was raped last summer.
Groveton police charged Williams and three other teens with aggravated sexual assault of a child, but authorities have found no evidence Williams was part of any attack on the 13-year-old girl.
Williams will be on probation for two years.
Also charged are 17-year-old Alexander Pennington and two 15-year-old boys. The four students are accused of breaking into the boys' field house in Groveton after hours. The two 15-year-olds said the girl agreed to have sex there.
