Nacogdoches Police Report - 01/10/07

EVADING ARREST:  3500 block of Raguet St. An officer observed a vehicle speeding on University Dr. The officer and the vehicle were involved in a short pursuit when the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle stopped in a yard in the 3500 block of Raguet. A 14-year-old male suspect was taken into custody. The suspect had taken his parents' car on a joyride.

THEFT / EVADING ARREST / FAIL TO ID / TAMPERING WITH A GOVERNMENTAL RECORD / FELONY ARSON WARRANT (POLK COUNTY):  A suspect was found to have meat under his jacket that he failed to pay for. The suspect fled on foot and was captured at Virginia Ave. and Smith St. He gave officers a false name. After he was properly identified, he was found to have an arson warrant outstanding from Livingston. Robert Lewis was arrested.

THEFT:  2700 block of Logan Circle. A pink and purple Barbie scooter was stolen.

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE:  3100 block of South St. A suspect was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to have a suspended driver's license. Chris Pringle was arrested.

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE:  100 block of N. University Dr. A suspect was stopped for traffic violations and found to have a suspended driver's license. Patricia Rosales was arrested.

RECOVERED PROPERTY:  3800 block of Center Hwy. A complainant found a four-wheeler in his yard that did not belong to him. It was taken to the police station for safekeeping.
