Alleged 'Hospital Rapist' Remains in Jail

by Ramonica R. Jones Lufkin police said the investigation of a man who claims he raped several elderly and disabled hospital patients in East Texas continues, but the case is difficult to investigate because of who the alleged victims are.   Danna Parrozzo reportedly told police he committed the rapes while he worked as a nurse in several East Texas hospitals and nursing homes.   Parrozzo did spend two years working at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin as an LVN, but a spokesperson for Woodland Heights said an internal investigation has not given them any information to verify or rule out Parrozzo's claims. At this point, Parrozzo has not been charged with committing any rapes in East Texas hospitals or nursing homes.   Parrozzo also worked at Nacogdoches Medical Center as an OB Scrub Tech more than ten years ago. A spokesperson there said that position does not involve private access to patients and they are not aware of any patient complaints about him during the five months he worked there. Parrozzo remains in jail on child pornography charges.
