Lufkin Police Report - 01/22/07

ASSAULT:  300 block of Humason St.  A woman reported that her husband hit her in the face during an argument.  The victim had visible swelling and redness to her face.

THEFT:  3500 block of S. First St.  A college instructor reported that a black binder has been missing since Thursday and that it contained personal identifying information of the teacher and possibly of some students.  The instructor thinks it may have been stolen.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE:  4600 block of S Medford Dr.  A man lost his debit card on January 13th at a restaurant and found later that it had been used at several locations around town.

BURGLARY:  800 block of Locke St.  A barber shop was broken into sometime Friday night.  A small amount of cash was stolen.

DWI:  2900 block of Atkinson Dr.  A Lufkin man was involved in a car accident around 3:55a.m. Sunday morning.  He showed signs of intoxication, but was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was unable to perform sobriety tests.  Blood was drawn and sent to the lab for analysis.  The lab results will determine whether charges will be filed.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  1200 block of Briarwood St.  A man reported that his car was broken into early Sunday morning and his stereo was stolen.
