Belt Struggles in Loss to A.C.

The Angelina College baseball team opened up the 2007 season against a familiar face to East Texas.  Former Hudson pitching ace Brandon Belt and San Jac paid a visit to Runners Field.  Belt started the second game of the double header and struggled with his control.  Belt had six walks before being pulled in the 4th inning.  The freshman struck out two and gave up five runs.  A.C. won the game 7 to 2.

The Runners completed the sweep thanks to a come from behind win in game one.  Former Hudson Hornet Tanner Hines hit a two run double to help give San Jac a 5 to 0 lead.  But A.C. rallied and took a 7 to 5 lead.  After San Jac tied the game in the final inning, Kody Hinze hit a walk off home run to give A.C. and 8 to 7 win.
