Hudson gets Grant

The Hudson Volunteer Fire Department will receive a grant of $27,075 to support firefighters and their work as first responders.

The funding can be used for training and support operations and to purchase firefighter safety and rescue equipment. It comes through the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of Grants and Training as part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program.

Senator John Cornyn has held roundtables with emergency first responders across the state as part of his ongoing effort to highlight security needs in Texas hometowns. The events provide communities the opportunity to express their needs and concerns directly to Senator Cornyn.
