Lufkin Police Report - 02/01/07

BURGLARY:  903 N. Timberland Dr. (Vision Video)  Officers responding to a burglary alarm at Vision Video found that someone had thrown a brick through the glass door.  Nothing was noted missing when management came and checked.

SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION VIOLATION:  900 block of Everett St.  A routine check on a registered sex offender revealed that he had moved a week ago and not reported his move to police as required.  A warrant has been requested.

THEFT:  1900 block of Timberland Dr.  A man grabbed two 20-packs of beer and fled the convenience store Wednesday evening.

THEFT:  2200 block of E. Denman Ave.  A man grabbed a 30-pack of beer and fled the convenience store Wednesday evening.  It may have been the same suspect from case above.

FORGERY / COUNTERFEITING:  805 S. John Redditt Dr. (Bank of America - Lufkin West Branch)  A woman tried to pass a stolen, forged check at the Bank of America Wednesday afternoon.  She was unsuccessful and left the bank without the check.

THEFT:  1522 W. Frank Ave. (Big Tin Barn)  Two days worth of store deposits from early January were found to be missing in an audit.   Internal theft is suspected

THEFT:  323 Moody St. (GODTEL Ministries)  A man reported his medication stolen a week ago when he left it out at a group shelter.
