Nacogdoches Police Report - 02/05/07

DWI:  100 block of North St.  Suspect was a driver in a minor traffic accident. Suspect was suspected of being intoxicated and was arrested. Deondra Moore was arrested.

DWI:  400 block of Creekbend Ln.  Officers located a vehicle parked in the roadway and the driver asleep.  The driver was suspected of being intoxicated and was arrested. Juan Moreno was arrested.

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE:  3800 block of North St.  Vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. Driver was identified as Donald Sterling. Computer check revealed his driver's license was suspended. He was arrested.

THEFT OF A FIREARM:  100 block of Marilyn St.  A known suspect stole a handgun from the residence. A warrant has been requested.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1400 block of E. Austin St.  Suspect and his wife were involved in an argument. Suspect kicked the bathroom door, causing damage. Timothy Nelson was arrested.

THEFT:  1400 block of S. Fredonia St.  A refrigerator was stolen from a residence. Terrance Blakey was arrested.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE:  2700 block of North St.  Victim reported a truck stolen. Truck was involved in above offense. Driver was identified and case is under investigation.

HIT AND RUN:  1400 S. University Dr.  Unknown suspect hit complainant's vehicle and fled the scene.

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE / FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM:  2700 block of Douglass Rd.  Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, Thomas Walter Lewis II, was found to have a suspended driver's license and was arrested. A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun where passenger Arnulfo Pina, Jr. was sitting. Pina was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

FORGERY:  3700 block of North St. Complainant reported that a known suspect had forged a number of checks on his account.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  315 N. University Dr. (Boatman Tire)  Complainant reported that the driver's side window of a vehicle parked in front of the business had been broken out.

THEFT:  106 E. Main St. (Johnson Furniture)  Complainant reported that a known suspect had used another's identity to purchase merchandise.

FORGERY:  5100 block of Northway St.  Complainant reported that a known suspect had used his identity to rent an apartment and forged a check on his account. Investigation underway.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION:  800 block of Evelyn St. A fireplace insert was reported stolen from a residence.

DOG BITE:  3500 block of North St.  Complainant reported that her daughter was playing with a dog at a pet store and was bitten on the index finger, causing a minor injury. The puppy was taken to shelter by owner for observation.

THEFT:  200 block of S. Church St.  Two fishing rods and reels were missing from front porch.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:  1300 block of Pruitt Hill Dr. Complainant and his girlfriend were involved in an argument. The complainant pushed the suspect down, and the suspect retrieved a knife and cut complainant on the hand. No medical attention was required. Jessica Ruth Hall was arrested.

THEFT:  3400 block of E. Main St.  Complainant left a cell phone at a door while making a delivery and an unknown suspect stole it.

HARASSMENT:  1600 block of Cardinal.  Complainant reports that a known suspect continues to call the residence after being told not to do so.

CRIMINAL SIMULATION:  4900 block of N. Stallings Dr.  An unknown person entered the store and presented a replica $20.00 Confederate bill. Suspect told the clerk that it was legal tender and the clerk accepted it.

THEFT:  1700 block of Maroney Dr. Unknown person removed complainant's wildlife feeder from the property.

TAMPERING WITH A GOVERNMENTAL RECORD / FAILURE TO IDENTIFY:  1000 block of South St. Suspect was stopped on a traffic violation and gave a false name. Suspect was also in possession of a forged Social Security card. Maria Astorga was arrested.

FAILURE TO IDENTIFY AS A FUGITIVE:  300 block of Ellington St.  Suspect was contacted for suspicious activity and gave officers a false name. True identity was Janika Edwards and it was found that she had outstanding warrants. She was arrested.

HIT AND RUN:  4800 block of North St.  Complainant reported that an unknown vehicle had struck his vehicle while it was parked and unattended in the parking lot.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS:  4601 North St (Sports Shack)  Officers were dispatched to a fight call. Several suspects were ordered to leave, but refused. When officers arrived, complainant identified one of the suspects and he was arrested. Lester Barnes was arrested.

DEADLY CONDUCT (2 counts) / DWI:  700 block of Sarah Ann St. The suspect returned home and found someone placing toilet paper on his neighbor's home. The suspect allegedly attempted to ram a vehicle and accelerated toward two persons attempting to get into the victim's vehicle. The suspect allegedly followed the victim down University Dr., attempting to run them off the road. Suspect was stopped and identified as Gordon Jones Jr. He was also suspected of being intoxicated and was arrested.

DWI:  2100 block of North St. Officers were dispatched to an accident. Upon arrival, officers found that no accident had occurred, but one of the drivers was suspected of being intoxicated. Michael Gilbert was arrested.
