BODY IDENTIFIED:  The body of the woman found in northeast Lufkin on Tuesday has been identified as Sherry Ann Moore, 36, of Zavalla.  Moore's death has been ruled a homicide.  An autopsy revealed the Moore died from blunt force trauma.  The exact nature and location of that trauma will not be released at this time in order protect the integrity of the investigation

ASSAULT:  900 E. Denman Ave. (Lufkin Middle School)  A man reported that his 14-year-old daughter was slapped by another female juvenile at a school event.

THEFT:  2100 block of Judson St.  A woman reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse in her home Wednesday evening.  The woman took a nap and several people were in her home during that time frame.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  717 N. Timberland Dr. (Lufkin Army-Navy Store)  A rock was thrown through the front window of Lufkin Army-Navy Store late Wednesday night.

THEFT:  300 block of Hubbard St.  A man reported that his keys were missing after a friend had come to visit him.  He thinks that friend took the keys.

POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY:  200 block of Denman Ave.  A woman was checking a computer that had been given to her teenaged daughter and found images of child pornography on the computer.  The man who gave the teen the computer has been identified and the computer was turned over to detectives for a complete forensic computer search.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1300 block of Tulane Dr.  A man reported seeing his estranged wife key his pickup Wednesday afternoon.  The truck had a 2-foot-long scratch on the tailgate

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  500 block of Lufkin Ave.  A window of a business was found to be cracked when the employees came to work Wednesday morning.  There was no evidence at the scene as to how the window was damaged.

BURGLARY:  200 block of Hummingbird.  A computer was stolen from a residence Wednesday morning while the resident was gone.

FORGERY / COUNTERFEITING:  1400 block of S. John Redditt Dr.  A woman reported that two fraudulent checks had been passed using her account information, but someone else's name and address on the checks.

FRAUD:  1300 block of WEINER St.  A woman reported that her daughter used her name and Social Security number to obtain cell phone service without the woman's consent.

THEFT:
  4600 block of S. MEDFORD Dr.  Internal theft was reported.  An employee was issuing gift cards for refunds and keeping the gift cards for her own use.  A warrant has been requested.

ASSAULT:  2500 block of Daniel McCall Dr.  A man reported that his girlfriend slapped him in the face when he broke up with her.  No injury.
