Nacogdoches Police Report - 02/16/07

THEFT / INTERFERRENCE WITH 911 CALL:  1122 N. University Dr.  (Burke's Outlet)  Suspect was observed taking garments from the store. After being detained, the suspect took the loss prevention employee's phone as an attempt was made to call the police. Marilyn Roberts was arrested.

RECOVERY OF NARCOTICS:  1700 block of Martinsville Rd.  Officer located a quantity of suspected Ecstasy in a parking lot. Was taken and placed into evidence.

DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE / EVADING ARREST:  200 block of East Spradley St.  Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. Vehicle sped up and turned into a driveway. The suspect fled on foot. Officers gave chase and arrested Sheldon Starling. Suspect was found to have several outstanding warrants.

HIT AND RUN:  1500 block of North St.  Complainant reported that an unknown vehicle had struck his while it was parked and unattended.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION:  300 block of Myrtle St.  Unknown persons forced entry into the residence and removed one X-Box 360, the controllers, and three games.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS:  200 block of North Fredonia St. (Fredonia Hotel)  Officers were called to the Fredonia where employees reported finding a man in the boiler room. This suspect has been located in there several times and told to leave. The suspect was gone on arrival.

DWI:  2000 Pearl St.  Suspect was a driver involved in a major accident. Officers suspected him of being intoxicated and he was arrested. John Utley was arrested.

DWI:  4300 block of North St. Officers located a vehicle stopped sideways in the roadway in the 4000 block of North St. The driver was contacted and suspected of being intoxicated. Steve Reys Jr. was arrested.
