Lufkin Police Report - 02/19/07

ASSAULT:  1000 block of S. Medford Dr.  A woman reported that a stranger tried to touch her and then grabbed her by the neck in an attempt to pull her closer to him.  This happened at a truck stop. The victim fled on foot and was not injured

THEFT:  1800 block of Sayers St.  An elderly woman reported that she sent her grandson to the store with her Lone Star card and he didn't return.

DRUG ACTIVITY:  100 block of Wilma St.  A disturbance between a man and a woman led to the woman's arrest on Possession of Marijuana charges and the recovery of two baggies of marijuana and a small bottle of suspected PCP.  LaCynthia Garner was arrested.  The liquid will be sent to the DPS lab for testing and further charges may be filed when the lab results are returned.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  block of 3200 block of S. First St.  A laptop, an MP3 player, a cell phone, and athletic apparel were stolen from a vehicle Sunday morning after unknown persons broke the window out to gain entry.
