Bounty Hunters Look For Fugitive

by Jessica Cervantez

Jimmy Jones is one of many fugitives bounty hunters are now looking for right now.

After twenty years as Private Investigator Gary Roberts took on the role as a bounty hunter just a year ago.  With their weapons in place, his team is ready to go. The search is on for Jones, who is 43-years-old.

Roberts said, "He's a meth dealer, I've heard rumors that he cooks, I know he buys meth out of Houston."

For three months, Roberts and his right hand man, Adrian Murphe, from Longview, have been making trips to Lufkin tracking leads.

On Tuesday they traveled to Jones' son's home in Lufkin off of FM 2251, where they believe their fugitive is selling horses for a source of income to stay on the run.  No one was at home at his parents house either.

Jones is wanted in Harrison, Angelina, and now Trinity County. But the bounty hunter believes he's skipped town.

Roberts said, "I believe he is in the Houston area, New Caney area.  He feels safe in Houston, he buys his drugs in Houston."

Roberts believes he is armed and dangerous and that he's certainly not thinking clearly.

If you have any information about Jimmy Jones you are asked to contact the Trinity County sheriff's department.
