S. A. Adult Day Center Breaks New Ground

The Salvation Army Adult Day Center broke ground Thursday for a new facility in Lufkin. It is a $400,000 expansion project.

More than 3,000 square feet of space is being added to accommodate more services and clients. The expansion will include a kitchen and storage areas that will be available for both public events and private functions.

The center was built ten years ago and now serves hundreds of seniors each year. The Salvation Army Adult Day Center offers social, recreational, and health-related activities in a group setting.
