Lufkin Police Report - 03/05/07

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  100 block of Peggy St.  A woman reported that all four tires on her car were slashed around 3 a.m. Monday.  The woman thinks her ex-boyfriend did it.

CIVIL DISTURBANCE:  1100 block of Annette St.  A man reported that his ex-girlfriend hit him and caused a small scratch by his ear when he went to her house to pick up his child at 1:30a.m Monday.

THEFT:  2400 block of E. Denman Ave.  A known suspect shortchanged a store clerk almost $100 by purchasing a small item and asking for change for a $100 bill.  The man ultimately left with the item and the $100 plus the change he was given for the purchase.

BURGLARY:  700 block of Timberland Dr.  Two MP3 players and a woman's purse were stolen Sunday night when a pickup was broken into.

ASSAULT:  400 block of Timberland Dr.  A customer reported that a restaurant manager poked her in the face during an argument over an employee hitting the customer's car with a trash car while taking the trash out.  Store personnel said the customer shoved an employee during that argument but no one from the store touched the customer.  No injuries
