Chick-Fil-A might be heading to Nacogdoches. Tonight the city commission will hold a meeting to discuss zoning changes to the empty Rita's Restaurant location on North Street.
Chick-Fil-A is interested in making the back parking lot at the old Rita's location commercial. Right now, it is still residential. KTRE contacted Nacogdoches City Planner, Aron Kulhavy, and he said the zoning change is just the early stages of a new business. Chick-Fil-A has not bought the property yet, but wants to make sure it is ready if they decide to build. Chick-Fil-A had to get permission from the current owners of Rita's to make the zoning changes.
