Lufkin Man Indicted on Child Porn Charges

by Ramonica R. Jones

A Lufkin man has been federally indicted on child pornography charges. Twenty-three year-old Michael Heinsohn faces up to ten years in prison.

Officers searched his residence and found several images of child porn on his home computer.

The problem of online child exploitation and abuse is now more widespread than ever. The Internet is a popular place for predators to hide and prey on unsuspecting kids.

Heinsohn's case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide effort to locate, arrest, and prosecute people who use the Internet to exploit children.
