Nacogdoches Police Report - 03/07/07

THEFT:  3400 block of South St.  A set of aluminum steps reported stolen from a construction site.

BURGLARY OF A COIN OPERATED MACHINE:  3200 block of South St.  Complainant reported that two coin-operated dryers were broken into.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  3800 block of NW Stallings Dr.  Unknown suspect removed complainant's purse from an unsecured vehicle. The purse contained a driver's license and credit card, as well as a small amount of cash.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  3419 South St (Sonic Drive-In)  Unknown suspects attempted to steal an ice cream machine that was out back of the building. During the attempt, the machine was damaged.

DWI / DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE:  100 block of North St.  Subject was stopped for a traffic violation and he was suspected of being intoxicated. A computer check also revealed that his driver's license was suspended. Benjamin Goldsmith was arrested.

HIT AND RUN:  400 block of Lane Dr.  Unknown suspect struck complainant's vehicle and left the scene without giving information.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE / PUBLIC INTOXICATION (2 counts):  4000 Buckingham.  Two individuals were walking down Appleby Sand Rd. arguing. Upon officer's arrival, John Honeycutt threw down a bottle containing suspected steroids. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication. The other party was also arrested for public intoxication.
