Lufkin Police Report - 04/03/07

THEFT B:  100 Block of  Lost Pines.  Three boys stole a bicycle from an open garage Monday afternoon.  Officers located the boys nearby and the bicycle was recovered.  The owner initially didn't want to file charges but later changed his mind.  The case will be referred to Juvenile Probation.

THEFT C:  1800 Block of Frank.  A man was seen stuffing a pair of jeans into his pants inside Burke's Outlet.  The man was confronted by loss prevention and gave the jeans back but refused to come back to inside the store and left with a woman in a car.

TERRORISTIC THREAT: 900 Block of Kurth.  A man reported that his younger brother threatened to kill him during a phone conversation over their deceased brother's property. 

FRAUD:  300 Block of E. Shepherd.  A couple learned while filing their taxes that their 14 year old son's Social Security number had been used by someone else and claimed as a dependent.  The couple had not yet learned who or where the person was using the SS number.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1000 Block of Allendale Dr. Several coat hooks and some electrical conduit were damaged at Trout Elementary over the weekend.  The vandals also got on the rood and rolled a wooden wire spool around and spray painted a picnic table and a wall at the school.  A neighbor reported seeing some juveniles on the roof Saturday evening.
