Authorities Shut Down Two Illegal Gambling Businesses

by Ramonica R. Jones

Trinity County authorities have shut down two illegal gambling businesses in that area.

The raids are a result of a joint investigation between the Trinity County Attorney's Office and Precinct 4 constable's office.

O'Malley's on Highway 94 and an unmarked building on FM 357 are out of business. Authorities seized gaming equipment, cash and slot machines from those establishments.

No arrests were made in the raids, but several customers were cited and now must appear in court.

Charges against the operators are pending.
