Man Convicted on Gang Rape Charges May be Exonerated

A Texas man who spent ten years in prison for a gang rape in Dallas may be exonerated.

Fifty-three year-old James Giles was released from prison more than a decade ago. Ever since, he has been living as a registered sex offender.

Giles is from Dallas County, but is now living in Lufkin with his wife.

Authorities are now saying Giles' conviction was based on a case of mistaken identity. They believe DNA evidence shows another man with the same name who lived across the street from the rape victim committed the crime.
