Lufkin Police Report - 04/13/07

TERRORISTIC THREAT:  3100 Block of Atkinson.   Complainant reported that a female acquaintance was repeatedly calling the complainant and making threats.

ASSAULT:  1600 Block of Keltys.  A man reported that he was attacked by a female acquaintance with a bat when she accused him of stealing from her.  The man was treated for a hand injury and a cut on his face.

BURGLARY of a VEHICLE:  100 Block of North John Redditt.  A stereo was stolen from an unsecured car Thursday evening.

TERRORISTIC THREAT:  3000 Block of John Redditt.  A man and woman reported that their lives were threatened by the man's step-brother after he followed them to a convenience store Thursday.

THEFT:   400 Block of Brentwood.  A wallet was stolen Thursday morning when a woman left it in a shopping cart outside the store.  The woman returned within minutes but the wallet was gone.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  300 Block of East Denman.  A business owner reported that a window was shot out sometime between Saturday at noon and Monday evening.  The bullet went through the window and into a television.  A .380 pistol cartridge was found outside the business

THEFT:  1300 Block of  Ellis.  A man reported that his shop was broken into and several power tools were stolen Thursday.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  1900 Block of South First St.  A car was broken in Thursday afternoon and the stereo and a CD holder were stolen.

BURGLARY:  300 Block of Hubbard.  A car was broken into Thursday morning and the stereo stolen.

ROBBERY:  2100 Block of South First.  A woman reported that she and her boyfriend were robbed in their motel room Thursday afternoon.  The woman said they were asleep when someone knocked on the door.  The woman's boyfriend opened the door and two black men came in and demanded money.  The victim stated the men took some cash, two cell phones and a pair of men's tennis shoes and left.  Witnesses saw the men get into a white Lincoln car.

THEFT:  2400 Block of East Lufkin.  Theft of bail bond service was reported.  A bondsman reported that a subject bailed out of jail Wednesday using a false name and forged someone else's name to the payment plan.

THEFT:  900 Block of Chestnut.  A bank bag containing cash was stolen from a business office sometime Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

BURGLARY:  500 Block of Gaslight.  A car was broken into Thursday morning and the stereo stolen

FRAUD:  700 Block of Hoskins.  A woman's credit cards were stolen and several thousand dollars were charged on them without authorization.

DWI:  2500 Block of North Medford.  A man involved in an accident Wednesday is believed to have been driving under the influence of PCP when the accident occurred.  Blood was drawn and sent for analysis but the man was not arrested Wednesday due to injuries sustained in the accident.  The investigation will be completed when the blood results are returned.
