Lufkin Police Report - 04/17/07

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  4600 Block of South Medford.  A window was broken out of an SUV Sunday evening by unknown means.  Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE:  100 Block of Champions.  A broken down car was left at an apartment complex in November and is now reported missing.  The owner moved and left the car in the parking lot and now the car is gone.  Apartment management said they didn't have it towed.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE:  100 Block of Parkview.  A man reported his black Honda Civic stolen from his residence.  The man left the car unlocked with the keys in it Monday and it was stolen. 

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  1800 Block of East Denman Ave.  $60 in cash was stolen from an unlocked pickup Monday afternoon.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  100 Block of MOTT.  Three windows were broken out of the cab of a city-owned backhoe that was parked at Grace Dunn Richardson Park over the weekend.

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING:  1000 Block of East Denman Ave.  A business (Bell Finance) was broken into over the weekend and a roll of change was stolen.  The safe had also been tampered with but was not entered.

HARASSMENT:  1700 Block of Birdsong.  A woman reported receiving repeated phone calls and messages from the father of her child.  In those calls the suspect cursed the victim and called her names in a dispute over child visitation.
