Lufkin Police Report - 04/23/07

THEFT:  900 Block of South SecondA man brought a female to his home Sunday night and she stole his wallet and money when he got up to go to the bathroom around 3:30 Monday morning.  The victim didn't know the suspect's name.

ASSAULT:  200 Block of South Timberland Dr.  A woman reported that her boss assaulted her by grabbing the victim's arm and dragging her into a closet to yell at her about a work matter.  The victim was not injured but wanted to file assault charges.

HARASSMENT: 1700 Block of North First.  A woman reported that a known suspect has been calling her on the phone, cursing her and making threats to come shoot her house.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  Pinemont Circle.  A house was "wrapped" with video film around 11pm Sunday night.  The suspects were located nearby and had some more reel to reel type film in their pickup.  Charges are pending.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE:  800 Block of Kurth Dr.  A man loaned his mother's car to a suspect he knew only by a first name early Sunday morning. The suspect has not yet returned the silver Dodge Neon.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1900 Block of South First.  A woman left her car parked in a restaurant parking lot overnight Saturday.  When she returned for in Sunday morning, a window had been broken out and a bag containing an orange raincoat and pair of safety glasses was stolen.  The suspect(s) also opened the hood and knocked out a taillight lens but nothing else was noted missing.

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:  625 HOSKINS.  A woman reported that a male friend hit her in the face with his hand Sunday afternoon during an argument.  The woman had visible swelling and bruising.  The suspect left before police arrived.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  600 Block of Pecan.  A woman reported that unknown persons had thrown eggs into her back yard and on her lawn furniture sometime between last Wednesday and Sunday afternoon.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  3500 Block of South Medford Dr.  An 18 wheeler parked in a store parking lot over the weekend had a window broken out sometime between Friday morning and Sunday morning.  Nothing was missing from the truck.

BURGLARY:  2300 Block of North Raguet.  A car window was broken out and the stereo stolen sometime Saturday night.
