Lufkin Police Report - 05/01/07

HARASSMENT:  4500 Block of South Medford.  A woman reported receiving repeated hang-up phone calls.  The woman has also been receiving unwanted e-mails from an ex-boyfriend and thinks he is also the one calling and hanging up.

THEFT:  2000 Block of South First St.  A woman's dinner companion stole her purse Monday night from their table at a restaurant.  The two began arguing and the man took the victim's purse and left.

HARASSMENT:  1200 Block of Carolyn Street.  A man reported receiving a phone call from a known suspect who threatened him and his children.

ASSAULT:  1800 Block of Sayers Street.  A woman reported that her husband shoved her against a window and threw her to the floor during a disturbance Monday evening.  The woman had a cut to her lip and the husband was gone when officers arrived.      

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  200 Block of South First.  A man reported that his ex-wife stole and forged two checks on his account back in 2006. 

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1000 Block of Grant Ave.  Graffiti was spray painted on a building sometime Friday night.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1800 Block of  North Raguet.  Two trucks parked in a fenced lot were damaged over the weekend when unknown person(s) threw rocks and pieces of asphalt at them.  Both windshields were broken or cracked and the grill and paint of one of the trucks was scratched up.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  600 Block of Everett Street.  A woman's car window was broken out between 12:30am and 2:00am Monday morning.  Nothing was reported missing from the car.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE:  4000 Block of North Medford.  A truck-tractor was broken into over the weekend and a TV/DVD combo and a 50 piece tool set were stolen.
