Lufkin Police Report - 05/02/07

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION:  300 Block of Linden St.  Jewelry and a video game were stolen in a residential burglary that occurred sometime during the day Tuesday.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION: 200 Block of Hoskins.  A video game was stolen in a residential burglary that occurred sometime during the day Tuesday.

FELONY THEFT:  400 Block of North Timberland.  A man reported that he stored his motorized wheelchair at a local business a year ago and now the business owner won't give it back to him. 

THEFT:  500 Block of Homer St.  A man reported that his wallet and keys were stolen from his apartment sometime Friday or Saturday.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING: 300 Block of South Chestnut St.  A bogus business check was cashed at a grocery store two weeks ago.

TERRORISTIC THREAT:  Raguet.  A woman reported that another woman displayed a handgun to her and threatened the victim's life if the victim didn't stay away from the suspect's husband. This occurred Tuesday morning as the victim was driving on Raguet and the suspect pulled up beside her.        

ROBBERY:  1300 Block Abney St.  A senior couple was attacked during a robbery attempt at a washateria Tuesday morning.  The couple was washing clothes when a young man entered the washateria.  The suspect demanded their money and attacked both victims, striking them with his fists when they refused to give him their money.  The suspect fled when a Pepsi delivery man saw the altercation and ran to their aid.  The woman had minor injuries and the man was not injured in the attack.      

ASSAULT/SEXUAL/RAPE:  A woman reported that she was sexually assaulted by a known suspect at her home Monday.       

DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE:  1000 Block of Ellis.  A known suspect was seen on property Monday where he has been warned of trespassing.  Charges pending.   

FIGHT IN PROGRESS:  1100 Block of North Timberland Dr.  A man reported that the brother of his girlfriend assaulted him Tuesday morning at his motel room.  The victim had minor injuries.
