Nacogdoches Police Report - 05/04/07

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE; 1400 Block of Martin Luther King. Suspect was with a disabled vehicle and  flagged down officer. The suspect was found to have a bottle of suspected valium tablets that did not belong to him. William Wyatt Westbrook was arrested.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA; 2600 Block of North University Drive. Officers contacted the suspect after a suspicious vehicle call. Suspect was in a parked vehicle and exited when officers arrived. Officers saw suspected marijuana residue on the suspect's shirt. More suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle. Timothy Jackson was arrested.

THEFT; 1100 Block of North University Drive. Complainant reported the theft of a cellular telephone.

IDENTITY THEFT; 3600 Block of Tall Oak. Complainant reported the use of identity to open a credit card account without authorization.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 200 Block of Lynn Street. A known suspect forcibly entered a residence and attempted to assault his ex wife. The suspect also assaulted another victim that was on  the scene. Officers arrested Jorge Carrillo for burglary and assault.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF; 5200 Block of Northway. Complainant reported that someone broke a front window out of his apartment. Suspect's unknown.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE; 1204 North Mound. Complainant's vehicle was entered by breaking off the door handle. Once inside the suspect removed the car stereo system.

DWI; 1400 Block of North Street. Officer stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation. Officers suspected the driver of being intoxicated. Larry Williams was arrested.

DWI; 2600 Block of North University Drive. Officer stopped a vehicle that was in a near collision with the patrol car. The driver, Brent Newsome, was suspected of being intoxicated and was arrested.
