One man is fatally shot after an incident, Sunday, in Shelby County.
According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Department, around noon Sunday, Buster Ford, 71, shot and killed an unknown victim. Authorities are not releasing any information about the person killed. The shooting took place at Ford's resident, located at 250 Hwy 96 North, right outside Center, Texas.
Officials charged Ford with murder, but released him a few hours later at 2:45 p.m.
Renee Blackwell, a local video store clerk, was working across the street when she witnessed some of the commotion. Blackwell said, "I got to work around one o'clock, when I got here there was a whole bunch of people, an ambulance, a hearse, and a bunch of cops." Blackwell says the resident was clear in about 15 to 20 minutes.
