Lufkin Police Report - 05/09/07

DEADLY CONDUCT:  500 Block of Trout.  One shot was fired through the window of an occupied residence around 10:30 Tuesday night.  No one was injured.

FRAUD:   200 Block of Cunningham.  A woman received notice from a check cashing service that someone tried to cash two different electronic checks using her name and address, but not her account information.  The attempts were made in Waco and Corsicana.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:  300 Block of Homer St.  A man reported that he was attacked three different times on Tuesday at three different locations by the same group of men.  The victim said during the last attack one of the men, whom he knew only by a nickname, pointed a gun at him and pulled the trigger but the gun didn't fire.  The victim stated he didn't know why the men wanted to fight him.

DEBIT CARD ABUSE:  1900 Block of South First St.  A man reported that an unauthorized purchase was made on his debit card.  The man lost the card on May 03 and the charge was made on May 04.

THEFT:  200 Block of South Chestnut Dr.  Money was reported stolen from a cash register Monday night.  Internal theft suspected.

THEFT:  400 Block of Kurth.  A light blue 20 foot trailer was stolen Monday night.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  700 Block of North Chestnut St.  The door window of a pickup was broken out by unknown means Monday night.  Nothing was missing from the truck.
