Hundreds of Residents Voted Early

Early voting is over in East Texas and the numbers are in. More than 1,500 Angelina County residents voted early in the constitutional amendment election.

There will not be a city election in Lufkin this year, but there will be a school board race.

Seven hundred people in Nacogdoches voted early in the amendment election and more than 70 voters turned out to vote on creating two new emergency service districts.

Election day is this Saturday for most East Texas towns, counties, and schools. You can call your county courthouse to find out where you're supposed to vote.

Polling places will be open on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
