Nacogdoches Police Report - 05/11/07

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 2000 Block Of Douglass Road. Unknown suspect entered an unsecured vehicle and took a purse. The purse contained various credit cards.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION; 1600 Block Of East Main Street. Complainant reported that a gold ring had been stolen from the residence. No signs of forced entry.

ESCAPE-ASSAULT ON A PEACE OFFICER: 3400 Block Of South Street. Jeanna Cates was being sought for several Angelina County warrants. She was located and arrested at the Nacogdoches Inn. As the patrol unit was leaving, she opened the back door and jumped out into the parking lot. She was chased down and bit an officer. While attempting to photograph her minor injuries, she again broke away from officers and had to be chased down again. Both suspect and officer were treated at memorial hospital for minor injuries.

THEFT: 1600 Block Of North University Drive. A vehicle was left at a location for repairs. A wedding ring was left in the vehicle and reported stolen.

DWLI: 1400 Block Of Powers Street. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic offense. James Tutt was found to have an invalid DL with several prior charges. He was arrested.

DWLI: 600 Block Of Northwest Stallings Drive. Suspect stopped on traffic violation and found to have a suspended drivers license. Teresa Murcheson was arrested.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE-POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS DRUG: 900 Block Of First Street. Suspect was stopped for traffic and found to have several suspected Viocodin tablets in his possession. Officers also located two loose rocks of suspected crack cocaine in the vehicle.

DWI: 2800 Block Of North Street. Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was identified as Johnny Parker, Jr. He was suspected of being intoxicated and was arrested.
