Woodville's Chasity Foster has won a state title. After taking second in the 2A pole long jump, Foster took first place in the triple jump.
On Saturday the Woodville girls 800 meter relay team also took first place. Woodville beat San Augustine by just two tenths of a second. As a team Woodville was two points shy of winning the 2A state title.
The Groveton Boys Mile Relay team also brought home a gold medal. The Indians took first place, while Glen Curry took third place in the 200 meters.
Hemphill's Brittany Henson finished second in the girls 300 meter hurdles.
The highest Lufkin finish was by senior Demeeka Jones. Jones took fourth in the 100 meter hurdles. It was Jones' third trip to Austin.
